This 6-day journey combines heritage cities with the charm of lakes and palaces. Travelling in a group helps reduce your per-person cost while keeping the experience comfortable and memorable.
You will start your trip visiting different places in Delhi. In Delhi, you will visit Qutub Minar, Bahai Temple (closed on Monday) and India Gate. You will drive past Parliament House, the President’s Palace and other secretariat’s offices. After that, you will proceed towards Agra. When you reach Agra you will check in the hotel and rest.
Wake up early and go with your guide to see the awestruck sunrise at Taj Mahal. Your guide will share the facts of this monument. After visiting Taj Mahal, you will head back to the hotel for breakfast. After having breakfast, you will visit the Agra Fort about which your guide will share facts with you. Then you will start your journey towards Jaipur. On arriving in Jaipur, you will check in the hotel, Overnight stay at hotel.
After breakfast, your guide will lead you to the Amber Fort. Follow your guide on a 2-hour tour of the complex. After that, head back down the hill with your guide in vehicle for a tour of Jaipur. Spend 15 minutes at the Jal Mahal, a palace located in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake.
In the afternoon, Visit Maharaja’s City Palace, Then Jantar Mantar, a collection of 19 architectural astronomical instruments. After that, drive past the beautiful Hawa Mahal, a large structure built so the women of the royal household could observe streets outside while remaining hidden. At the end of the day, return to your hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel.
After breakfast, as per your fight time, you will be transferred to airport for flight to Udaipur, Upon arrival at Udaipur airport, you will be picked up and transferred to hotel, check in at hotel, rest of the day free at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.
After breakfast, your guide will accompany you in exploring the City Palace. It is a splendid palace which was built over a period of 400 years by different Mewar kings. Amar Vilas is the highest point of this palace. The palace has many gardens with fountains, towers, and terraces. This palace was built in the ostentatious style and is considered to be the largest palace of its kind in Rajasthan. It was built on a hilltop with a fusion of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. The entire city of Udaipur can be seen from the top of this palace. It has numerous palaces built within this palace. You can also visit the Jagdish temple, Sahelion ki Bari Garden, Fatehsagar Lake and Bhagore ki Haveli. Your guide will enlighten you with the facts of all these places. After this, return to hotel, overnight stay at hotel.

Udaipur is well-connected by air and road; therefore, it can be reached from any part of the country with ease. Maharana Pratap Airport is a domestic airport in Udaipur connected to many important cities in India. National Highway 27, 48, and 58 connect Udaipur to many destinations like Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Mount Abu, and more.
Udaipur is in Rajasthan, one of the hottest destinations in India, with mercury rising to 50℃ in the summer. Therefore, the best time to visit Udaipur is the winter season (October to March) when the temperature drops to 20℃. In the month of December, one can also attend the famous Shilpgram (handicraft) Festival in Udaipur. Monsoon (July – September) is also an excellent time to visit Udaipur when the rains bring the mercury down, and the weather becomes pleasant. The festival of Teej can be witnessed during the monsoon season in Udaipur.
Even though Udaipur and Jaisalmer are in the same state, they both vary in their landscape, monuments as well as all over vibe. Therefore, there is no comparison between the two places. Udaipur is about lavish Rajputana Havelis (Palaces), beautiful man-made lakes, and the famous Taj Lake Palace amidst the Pichola Lake. On the other hand, Jaisalmer is about a gigantic inhabited fort, a vast desert, camel safaris, and a bit of hippie vibe. Thus, these destinations in Rajasthan have a different audience to cater to.
Jaipur and Udaipur have a lot in common; the two tourist destinations in Rajasthan have palaces, lakes, heritage hotels, and great bazaars for shopping. Both destinations have plenty of attractions to keep the tourists engaged and at awe. Therefore, there is no comparison between the two places as both are equally great for visiting.
Jodhpur and Udaipur have once been the capitals of two important kingdoms of Rajasthan, Marwar, and Mewar, respectively. Thus, they showcase the two distinct types of architecture, history, and culture. Jodhpur is known for its gigantic Mehrangarh Fort and monuments like Jaswant Thada and Mandore Gardens. Udaipur, on the other side, is known for its Havelis like Bagore Ki Haveli, plush palaces like City Palace and Taj Lake Palace, and gorgeous artificial lakes like Fatehsagar Lake and Lake Pichola. Owing to their distinct features and attractions, it is unfair to compare the two places, but it is fair to visit them both.
Once the capital of the Kingdom of Mewar Region of Rajasthan, Udaipur boasts grand palaces, Havelis, man-made lakes, great bazaars, and heritage hotels. Amongst its top attractions are Taj Lake Palace, which sits amidst Lake Pichola; City Palace, Oberoi Udaivilas, and Bagore ki Haveli that flank this lake; Monsoon Palace/Sajjangarh perched atop a hill overlooking Udaipur city; and the scenic Fateh Sagar Lake, where evenings are well-spent. Local markets like Hathi Pol are also quite popular amongst travelers in Udaipur.
Despite the close proximity to each other, Udaipur and Mount Abu are two distinctive destinations in Rajasthan. Where Udaipur is also about the rich Rajputana architecture and history, Mount Abu, on the other side, is about hills, pleasant weather, and a family holiday or honeymoon or weekend trip. Therefore, the two destinations should not be compared and should be visited according to the traveler’s interest and purpose.
Clothing depends a lot on which season you are choosing to visit Udaipur. If you are visiting Udaipur in the summer seasons, it is advised to pack light cotton and linen clothes that are breathable and comfortable. If you are visiting in the winter season, light woolens should be carried. When visiting sacred places like temples, it is advised to wear full-length clothes that cover your body parts.
Jaisalmer (493 km) and Osian (400 km) are the nearest destinations to Udaipur that flank the desert in Rajasthan.
The best way to reach Jaisalmer from Udaipur is by road. National Highway 68 connects Udaipur to Jaisalmer, on which a drive will take approximately 9 hours.
