Nine days gives you room to breathe. You spend two nights in Delhi at the start, then one in Agra, two in Jaipur and two in Varanasi, and return to Delhi for a final night before departure. That last night means a delayed flight never puts your international connection at risk.
Flying is the practical choice. The overland route runs through Delhi and takes well over 14 hours by train. This tour includes scheduled connecting flights from Jaipur to Varanasi and from Varanasi back to Delhi, so you skip the long journey entirely.
Plan for October through March. Cooler mornings make the Taj Mahal sunrise, the Ganges boat ride and long ghat walks far more comfortable. Summer brings heavy heat, and the monsoon can raise the river and affect boating.
The price depends on your hotel category (3, 4 or 5-star, or without hotels), your group size and your travel dates. A larger group lowers the cost per person because the vehicle and guide are shared. Check availability on the booking page for exact rates.
The ceremony starts around sunset, roughly 5:45 PM in winter and 6:45 PM in summer, and runs about 45 minutes. Your guide gets you to the ghat early for a good spot. Season, crowds and local instructions can shift the timing.
Yes, many international travelers visit every year. Keep your valuables close in crowded lanes and stick to busy, well-lit ghats after dark. Your private guide leads you through the old city, so you never navigate the narrow lanes alone.
Yes. A private driver, local guides and a fixed route take care of the planning. Varanasi feels more intense than Delhi or Jaipur, with crowds and strong sights, so your guide paces the day and prepares you for what you will see.
A day trip does not work. You need at least two nights to fit the sunrise boat ride, the ghats and temples, Sarnath and the evening Ganga Aarti without rushing. This itinerary gives you two nights and a full day on the ground.
Yes. Everyone can visit the ghats, take the boat ride and watch the Ganga Aarti. Most temples welcome visitors, though a few inner sanctums are restricted. Dress modestly, follow each temple's rules and ask your guide when unsure.
The standard 9-day plan flies you back to Delhi on Day 8 for a final night, then transfers you to the airport, a railway station or another requested location on Day 9. If you would rather finish in Varanasi, mention it when you enquire, and we will check whether the plan can be changed.
