Udaipur has often been called the “Venice of the East” or the “City of Lakes.” In fact, it is more about immersing oneself in a world of Rajput valour combined with architectural brilliance and ethereal natural beauty, rather than mere sightseeing. A challenge many travelers, especially with a wanderlust spirit and on an impending schedule, face is how not to rush while trying to feel the essence of this regal city.
Enter Crystal India Holiday, offering a curated udaipur tour package for 2 days. More than a list of monuments, this is an itinerary that speaks volumes about culture, planned for those who need to have a quick yet deep escape into the heart of Rajasthan.
Of course, long vacations are often a luxury we cannot afford in the hustle of modern life. Nevertheless, Udaipur is a distinctly small and full-bodied heritage city. A well-planned 48-hour window allows you to see the rising sun over Aravallis, centuries-old palaces, vibrant bazaars for shopping, and dining by the lakeside. Such a package gives the splendor of the Mewar kingdom and the serenity of its lakes in such a way that you will always be able to remember the moments you had there.
Welcome to Udaipur
From the moment you arrive, your royal journey begins. Whether at Maharana Pratap Airport or at Udaipur Railway Station, Crystal India Holiday's private driver will meet and greet you. Convenience is key. Without any delay, you will be escorted in a private and air-conditioned car to your hotel.
After freshening up, the exploration begins.
The City Palace is the first destination of your trip to the city. It is the biggest palace complex in Rajasthan that was constructed over several centuries. You are going to travel through time as you walk through its granite and marble corridors with your own expert guide. The palace is a labyrinth of the courtyards, pavilions, terraces, corridors, and hanging gardens.
Under a walking distance of the palace is the Jagdish Temple, which is a huge Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The monument, built in 1651, represents a marvel of Indo-Aryan architecture. The carved pillars, airy halls, and the towering spire create an atmosphere of divine peace in the midst of city bustle.
You then proceed to Bagore Ki Haveli at Gangaur Ghat, a historic mansion that gives you a sneak peek into the domestic life of the royalty. It contains a museum with costumes, modern art, and glasswork. If time permits, an evening cultural show here comprising the famous Dharohar dance and puppet shows is a vibrant display of Rajasthani folklore.
Come and experience the softer side of royal life at Saheliyon Ki Bari, or the Garden of the Maidens. Created by the King for his queen and her 48 maids, this is a verdant oasis containing lotus pools with marble elephants and rain fountains working on absolutely no electricity, true marvels of ancient engineering.
No tour package to Udaipur for 2 days is complete without the iconic boat ride on Lake Pichola. At sunset, board a boat to cruise down its placid waters. The magnificent City Palace shines in golden light to your left; to your right, the jagged Aravalli hills form a silhouette.

Thereafter, the tour would move further to visit Bagore Ki Haveli, an old mansion that now hosts a museum, containing items used by royalty, costumes of those days, and also the presentation of the famous Dharohar Folk Dance if scheduled. Later, proceed to visit the green Saheliyon Ki Bari.Â

It has been constructed to observe the monsoon clouds, and one can see a panoramic bird's-eye view of the lakes and palaces of Udaipur. The journey to the top of the winding road is also an adventure within the wildlife sanctuary.
While Pichola is famous for its palaces, Fateh Sagar Lake is renowned for its vibe. Lined with hills and a scenic drive chiefly known as Moti Magri, this is an ideal place to relax. You will visit Nehru Garden, which is actually an island park in the middle of the lake, and can be accessed via a boat. It is an ideal place to take in the fresh air and fountains.
Shilpgram is a place to visit if one really wants to know about the real soul of Rajasthan. The complex, situated at the foot of the Aravallis, is actually a living rural arts and crafts museum showcasing the lifestyles of the folk and the tribals of the region.
Before you leave, immerse yourself in the riot of colors in the local markets. The Hathi Pol and Bada Bazaar are shoppers' delights. Look out for Bandhani or tie-and-dye textiles, typical Mojari footwear, miniature paintings, and Rajasthani silver jewelry. Your guide can always help you with the stalls and get you the best souvenir.
